Helen joined the Practice as a Project Manager in August 2004, and was promoted to Senior Planner in November 2006. She holds a Degree in City and Regional Planning (2000) and a Diploma in Town Planning (2002) both completed at Cardiff University, where she specialised in Sustainability.
Helen has gained a variety of experience in Town Planning since completing her degree, following placements with the Environment Agency as part of her Diploma in Town Planning and a Graduate Planner position with engineering firm, Scott Wilson. During her time with Scott Wilson, she was involved with the preparation and submission of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Thames Gateway Bridge.
Since joining Charles Planning Associates, Helen has been involved with preliminary development appraisals, the preparation and submission of planning applications and S78 Appeals, preparation of Proofs of Evidence and Written Representations to support site promotion through the Local Plan Review process and contributed towards the preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessments for a major mixed use and infrastructure development.
Helen was elected Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in January 2004.
