The proposed development will include all the necessary infrastructure to meet the needs generated by the development, including roads and drainage, education, shopping, social and community, health, open space, playing fields, greenways, footpaths, landscaping, etc, as well as protecting environmental aspects such as ecology, wildlife, archaeology and the Daventry (reservoir) Country Park.
It is anticipated that a planning application will be submitted during 2006, with work commencing on site in 2008/09.
The development will form an important enabler in respect of the 'delivery' of Daventry District Council's 'Town Centre Vision' which promotes an increase in the population of the town from 22,000 to 40,000 by 2021.
