Redevelopment of the former Hartwells garage site by Swan Hill Homes Limited in the heart of the 'Outstanding Conservation Area' in Clifton, to provide a mixed-use scheme of housing (including an element of affordable housing) and retailing (on the ground floor of Contemporis North).

The site which comprised 1960s reinforced concrete framed and clad structures (plus road bridge) was of very poor appearance and detrimental to the
character of the Conservation Area.

Award-winning Architects, Stride Treglown, provided an innovative design, which whilst modern, respected the essential scale characteristics of the surrounding Georgian and Victorian architecture.   More >>
