Charles Planning Associates Limited (CPA) was formed in 1992 as a specialist town planning and development consultancy. The founder of the Practice, Tony Charles, has over 30 years experience in planning and development in both the public and private sectors.

The Practice expanded steadily during the 1990s and incorporated in 2002 with Amanda Sutton joining Tony Charles on the board of the new company. As part of the continuing expansion, CPA has moved to larger offices in the Solent Business Park near Southampton.

The Practice members have been carefully selected for their experience in a wide variety of specialisms, for their commercial awareness and their commitment to success.
